Okay, I've been using various bits of software for NLE for the past six years and I love Vegas. However, I've had all kinds of problems with the batch capture utility. I am a bit of a Vegas noob, so bear with me and help me see if I'm doing anything stoopid.
I captured four DV tapes via a GL2 awhile back and edited a program, and all was good. Dumped the raw footage and was on my way, happy as a lark. I needed to make some changes (grrr...) and went to opened the Vegas edit file. Right-clicked on the offline files in the media bin and told VV4 to recapture offline media. Well, two of the tapes had really weird timecode starting at something like 22 hours (not 00:00:00:00) but the tape timecode starts at 00:00:00:00 (camcorder viewfinder says this, even the capture utility says this.) Hmmm... I think.
Well, recaptured tape and everything slipped about two seconds. Even on the two tapes I was able to recapture using the original timecode, when it came to the timeline, everything was off. What gives?
