Normalize Audio?

Right Click event, properties, click on Normalize. Is there a different or better way ( a way with more control over the process?) to do this?

Does the Track Volume slider have any impact on the waveform display? I saw mention of this but haven't been able to replicate the action..

Go to your 'Options' tab and then down to 'Preferences'. Then you'll see a tab that says 'Audio' and very close to the top of that tab you'll see a setting for 'Normalizing peak'. This is the only control I know of besides literally putting a volume envelope across the entire track and doing it manually.
