Strangely, I has been adjusting some FX effects in a previous project and everything worked normally, now I am not able to do so. I can see the FX menu in the current project and I can select any of these to my hearts content, but there are no changes to the project as I asjust the effects in the preview window. I think something has gotten turned off and I haven't a clue what it could be. Could someone pleae provide some recommendations to find out what may have happened??

Thanks much!

Jerry

You could have turned off the display of effects in the preview window (one of the buttons on the preview window controls this).

I assume this is a setting on the preview window not in hte setup properties but I will look for both. I will try looking for this soluction.

Thanks

on the preview window itself... look for the drop-own menu to the RIGHT of the icon that has a circle on it (the tool-tip says "split screen view" when you move the mouse over the icon.

Make sure you aren't adjusting the effects for the wrong keyframe.

Johnmeyer,

I did see the preview "spli tscreen, full screen" button and when I clicked on it, I was surprised to find out that FX effects were bypassed?? Strange.

Anyway with a little fooling, I did get the FX effects to work in full screen mode as I once was able and thanks to you for noticing the request for assistance and posting this little note which helped a bunch.

Thank you very much..

and... I guess it is just as welll I don't do this for the thanks and appreciation....

All credit to Johnmeyer... but I am curious ... did none of my suggestions actually help in any way? I think if you check the very first response to your question came from me and it had the correct reason for your problem.
Very puzzled.

The preview screen is meant to work that way. You can see what effect the FX is having by having via a before / after view in each half of the screen.
