Not all my fonts are available in ProType Titler

In practicing with ProType Titler, I noticed that many of the fonts in my system are missing from the drop down font list.
Is there a way to gain access in ProType Titler to all the truetype fonts in the system?
I've searched the forum and not found anything on this subject.
Thanks,
Hal

i'm pretty sure that protype doesn't display variations of a font like bold, underline, etc. as it gives you checkboxes.

But try rebooting. Seems protype doesn't always read new fonts I install, there much be a cache some where it's updating/reading.

I was able to get the fonts I wanted by copying them to the Windows\Fonts folder.
I have fonts on another drive that are "installed" and OpenOffice, WinWord and Photoshop see them fine - but not ProType Titler.
Strange.

vegas seems to only use the fonts folder. I never even knew other programs would use other folders. interesting...

Very interesting. The Windows/Fonts folder is where they are supposed to be installed in order for programs to have access to them. I don't know why anyone or any software would do anything differently.
