Is it possible to have the playback not stop and jump inside a region when created?

Right now I am setting regions on recorded interviews when the people say something important I select a region and hit R for a region. If I do that while the playback is ongoing the little pin jumps back into my selected area. I don't want that. I just want it to keep playing. Is that possible somehow?
