Not loading 5.1 audio and no volume control

I am editing a program and am about 1/2 way through. This morning, the program does not load 5.1 audio, only a single line of audio, I am using Movie Studio Platinum 13 on a Dell 64 bit machine running Windows 10 with a sound blaster card.

Don't know about VP14, but Vegas never could open an encoded 5:1 audio file (DTS, Dolby, ect) it will open a poly WAVE file though consisting of six mono tracks.
