Not recognizing CD Witer

Both MyDVD and VideoFactory do not recognize my CD writer as being available, I can burn CD with Easy CD Creator 4. I updated my ASPI files? The only thing I could think of was that my writer is a slave...as I have my 2 harddrives as masters. Any ideas?

I'd suggest a total uninstall of Easy CD to see if there's a driver conflict. I don't know MyDVD but I assume it can burn cd's as well as dvd's?
