Not writing, progress problem

LiteOn CD-R, XP (Tweakui X-mouse activated)

CD will not proceed with rendering/writing unless 'Writing' dialogue window is selected.

This is possibly why people think their CDA5 is dead.

Also progress meter only updates when mouse is moved ! Message stays on 'rendering file' until CD is completed , unless mouse is moved. Meter updates each time mouse is moved, whether it is on the write dialogue or not.

I would simply say that currently CDA is unusable... but maybe now that SF has updated ALL other applications, we might have some hope for some bugfixes ?

I use CDA , extensively and professionally almost every day, without problems .

Apart from the progress meter bug, the only thing that urgently needs attention is the event plugins situtation. I have no problem with them being 'loaded' all the time, just not processing (at all) when they don't need to be would make it work more smoothly on slower PCs, and presumably render faster.

I agree. For me there are no major issues with CDA5. The two minors are the progress update issue (which seems to be related to plugins. i.e. no plugins, no problem) and an odd habit of pulling in two copies of PCA files.

Well bugger me if SF haven't fixed it ! actually, it appears to have fixed itself (for today, anyway) - progress meter working completely normally as you would expect.

Troubling thing is that *no* changes have been made to the system - no drivers, updates, tweaks, reinstalls, deinstalls. Nothing. Only change is one file replaced in the project that when oddly over the previous week (plus prior projects !
