NTSC 29.97 Progressive concern

I've made an NTSC Progressive 29.97 DVD to enter my film into festivals. The film plays back fine on my timeline.

Will this play okay in a standard NTSC DVD player? My concern is it will try to add pulldown or something. I need to make sure as I'm going to make 200 copies.

Okay realise I will have to scrap that and go to 23.976 Get the bluray and NTSC DVD this way..

Does anyone know if I can put an NTSC DVD on the same disc as a PAL DVD The idea is to have a menu to choose NTSC or PAL for a short film.

As I said in your other post, Mark, I don't know how you would do this -- or how your DVD player would know which one to launch. It just looks for the DVD_TS folder and launches the first VOB it finds.

This was how I imagined it would work.

You have a Menu that gives you a choice. You either press NTSC or PAL which takes you to the appropriate menu and then press play. Your DVD player would then go to the VOB you choose?

Yes I see what you mean. I dont know how the DVDplayers work internally or whether a splash screen can in some way be made compatible with NTSC and PAL but Its worth asking.
