I went to Adobe.com, but found no mention of OpenDML files
on their website...
Is there some trick to getting Adobe AfterFX to be able to
open and save NTSC DV OpenDML (AVI 2.0) files, or must I
wait for adobe to update their software.
After some more searching I found this at Adobe's web site
on the Premiere board from an Adobe rep...
He said that the MSDV of Direct X8 that Premiere 6 uses is
incompatible with After Effects 4.1.1 at this time.
They gave no indication as to when Adobe After FX would be
compatible with Direct X 8.
It looks like Premiere 6 will open them, but After FX will
not...
So I guess that answers my question...

Generated media will not carry all attributes across open
instances of Vegas. If you render sections using formats
like NTSC DV, you can stich those together and Vegas will
not recompress except where changes are made (new
transitions etc)
