How would one get NTSC video out to an NTSC monitor when you only have the firewire card. I keep seeing bad cuts after I print to DV that I don't see on the computer monitor.
Can the frame rate of the computer monitor window be changed?
You might try using your camcorder to take the 1394 signal from Vegas to your NTSC monitor. You might also use a convertor like the Canopus AVDC-100.
By clicking on the monitor icon in the preview window, the video signal is sent to the camcorder/convertor.
If your framerate is slow (12fps, 4fps, etc.) you can prerender or RAM-render a small segment to check for clean edits, etc. Prerendering is a little slower, but might play smoother out to NTSC.
Oh Yeah, you might try "preview quality" in the preview to keep framerate higher.
