We have made a series of NTSC DVD's and will be traveling over seas to Germany to sell them at a tradeshow.. do we need to format these to PAL of will the NTSC DVD's work to the people over there that purchase them?
Lots of posts on this in the past. Do a search on "PAL NTSC DVD" and restrict it to the subject line.
Short answer is that most (but not all) European DVD players can play NTSC DVDs. Make sure you don't format them for any particular region (which is the default -- you have to go out of your way to change it). Of course, if you want to be absolutely certain, just open your original project in Vegas, and re-render to MPEG-2 using the DVD Architect PAL template instead of the DVD Architect NTSC template. Use this video file in place of the one you used before and create the PAL version of your DVD. It is actually that simple.
Here are some, but not all, of the results you will get if you do the search I recommend (search is your friend -- you get lots of results really fast):
