well, since i updated windows without incident, i thought (having first imaged) i'd update vid drivers...
so far so good, in fact i was experiencing some slight problem with my catleap monitor showing digital garbage when windows first switched to it on cold boot (it doesn't have and board in it). this has nw been resolved with the new driver.
vegas seem to take an inordinately long time booting the first time, but now is as fast (or perhaps even faster) than before.
i haven't run any render tests as it's pointless with a 4770 vs a gtx 650.
am wondering what (reasonably inexpensive) card would give me better preview, not that i'm that concerned, but i do have some equipment budget left over...?
