OBS Virtual Cam as VEGAS Stream live video input?

Photo_G wrote on 9/26/2021, 12:41 PM

OBS has a great Chroma Key filter that I'd like to use while live streaming; has anyone managed to get the OBS Virtual Camera to show up as a Live Video Input for VEGAS Stream? It's not on my list of inputs for some reason.

Ok, I figured this out. VEGAS Stream accepts NDI live video input, so I just needed to install the NDI extension for OBS.

I've found that this a very powerful combination in that you can launch multiple instances of OBS (intentionally), say one showing your camera and one showing a particular window or a portion of your desktop, then rename the NDI output on the second instance and select it as another live input in Stream. This allows you to transition between the two (or possibly more) OBS instances from within Stream, just like any other separate live video input that you may have mapped.

Thanks @Photo_G, do you happen to remember what NDI plugin you used with OBS? I've searched iin the OBS studio plugins, but nothing jumped out. Thanks

@TM I used the plugin below. It seems to work well.
