Here's the set up: Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 (PIV, XP Pro), Echo Mona Laptop, external hard drive (Seagate Barracuda IV) in an external enclosure connected to a USB 2.0 interface card.

There's just one problem: an occasional glitch during recording. Any suggestions? Is this an "illegal" hardware config? I have no idea where to start. Thanks for any and all suggestions.
