Boy am I dumb! Those that have been in the forum for awhile know I've recommended Ulead's DVD Movie Factory many times, and I still do. I've also noted several times its big weakness for DVD Authoring is the limited number of templates.
Well that's true, but I totally overlooked that you can use your own images for backgrounds and in effect make as many de facto templates as you want. All that's needed is to be sure to pick at least one thumbnail per movie and it will place up to six chapters thumbnails per page over whatever image you supply. The default size is 768x576.
So I just got done making a handful of backgrounds playing around in Photoshop.
If there is enough interest I throw them up on my web site and you can grab them. Some are pretty far out.
