I was curious and clicked on the Forum Administrators user name and was befuddled at the fact that I have more posts than the admin. They joined back in 2000 and the last post was back in May of 05.
The other forums I frequent, have a lot more activity from the admin. I just thought this to be odd.

The forum admin's name has changed in both number and person several times. For instance, it used to be that any Sonic Foundry or Sony person could post under their own name. Then, due to some incessant flaming that nearly cost us all the forums about a year past, the policy changed so that all of the sony people post under the same name, "Forum Administrator" which was rarely, if ever, used in the past. Search for instance for "Sony EPM" or Sony "PCH" etc. You'll find a LOT of posts from just those two names.

plus the admin's here don't police the boards like admins on other forums. This board is kept in check by people being responsible for their actions.

These days, this forum is nothing but good stuff.
Why... I remember back in the ol' days when there were so nasty varments hangin' around these here parts.
Now everyone is cool and even-handed.

I find a lot of off-topic stuff is only off-topic in the sense that it's not about the Vegas product, but is about digital editing and related ideas. This forum's depth of knowledge has attracted that sort of OT because so many other forums are so poor at answering these questions.

Maybe it's just what happens when you're the best.

(Of course if you're talking social issues I completely agree.)
