All you need to change is the input settings on your sound card's recording mixer. Double-click the little yellow speaker icon, choose Options, Properties, Recording, and set your input to "Mixed Output", or "What you hear", or "PC Speaker", something along those lines.

As long as you can get the signal into the computer and get Vegas to see it, you can record anything you want. I don't have a Vegas compliant digital video card, so I just use my ATI All-in-Wonder Pro 128 to record via the "virtual vcr" and then do the editing in Vegas. I suspect you would get better quality going directly into VV, but my card won't work with VV directly. (When I purchase my next video card, its going to be VV compliant!).
