OFF TOPIC 9/11 Slide Show

Just sharing a link to what I think is one of the best presentations I've seen on the 9/11 tragedy. A nice piece of work as far as the sideshow itself is concerned as to how it was put together.

A gut-wrenching mini video pictorial that plays for several minutes. http://www.politicsandprotest.org/

Many photos I've never seen before, some are very graphic showing jumpers, etc., if you look you'll know what I mean.

A LONG download, over 7MB on the above page, so you really need a broadband connection to see it as it was intended to be seen.

Billyboy,

...............Thank you.

(Referencing a previous thread) This is why we must be proactive, not reactive, in briinging down evil.

Yes, I know what you mean about evil. I don't know maybe fate, I rarely turn the TV on that early, but you ever get that funny feeling you should for some reason? So I did on that fateful 9/11 morning just as the Today Show was repeating that a plane had flew into the first tower and they were still talking like it was a accident, almost casual like no big deal. I first stood there watching, then almost fell into a chair just transfixed, not beliving what I was seeing, flipping channels like crazy. Very sad day. That slideshow brought back those weird feelings, like when Kennedy got shot, then Oswald...happened to catch both live too, was just a kid. Sad memories, but history.

Billy,

I have a similar slideshow made by a NY Police Officer. The one you linked is a bit longer, but they are both heart-wrenching.

I forwarded this to me Sister-in-law. She lives in Florida, but her husband is from NY and his brother died at the towers. He was a firefighter.

Nice show. It's difficult to watch these. I have some video from the scene (taken by a friend) and a ton of pictures that I've collected. I also did a video that listed the names of the people who died that day and even at a pretty rapid scroll rate it took around 5 minutes to go through the list. If anyone ever wants the .veg file (including the 3000 or so names) I still have it.

Lest we never forget...
