Is anyone noticing that their Accounts offer Vegas 7 Free Upgrade for $234.95? What's that about? I thought the upgrade was less expensive, but free sounds nice too, but wait, shouldn't free be, um, free, and not $200+? They really should change the wording, or am I missing something? One normally doesn't find things marked FREE with a price tag. ( free, meaning included, not excluded like pesticide-free, or is that what they meant by 'free upgrade' - it's actually supposed to read 'upgrade-free', heh. )

Seems hefty, compared to the usual $199 during the first month. Are they really not going to have an introductory price????

I noticed if your order Vegas, you can get Cinescore for $149.95 with two $99.95 theme packs included for free, could be cool, haven't had time to check this out yet.

I also have this "Vegas 7 Free Upgrade for $234.95" offer on my software list. In my case it is because I only bought Vegas 6 Standalone. So the vegas upgrade is free but I have to pay for DVDA.

but I do not need DVDA! I would be happy with a Vegas 7 only Upgrade (for the workflow improvements). But that is not offered :(

It is a great offer. Espesially when I paid for the same package $400+ a bit over one month ago... At least now I know not to buy anything if there is going to be a major release from Sony :(

Hopefully, there will be a reduced "loyalty upgrade" price coming in the email box soon.
bStro wrote on 9/12/2006, 1:11 PM
What's the difference between an upgrade price and a "loyalty upgrade" price? I mean, if you're upgrading, you're obviously a returning customer, right?

Am I "loyal" just because I joined this website?

Anyone buying it now or are you waiting for a price reduction?
bStro wrote on 9/12/2006, 1:18 PM
I'm sure most if not all are waiting for the "early adopter" discount. Word is that the e-mail offers have started going out.
