OFX Crop vs Pan/Crop

I can't find much use for the new OFX crop in V15 .. Is anyone finding a use for it ?

Unlike Pan/Crop the OFX version can also be applied to track, master track, output and media level. Also, with OFX Crop you could adjust the fx directly in the preview window.
