OHCI compliant capture card and XP drivers

Hi all,
I went down to my local (podunk) computer store and bought the only 1394 internal 32 bit PCI card they had. I downloaded the OHCI-DV .pdf from the SF site which states the card needs to be OHCI compliant but it doesn't mention this anywhere on the box or specs. It is made by Siig which I've read are good capture cards but... It also discusses appropriate MS drivers to use(not to use the drivers that come with your 1394 card) for Win 98, Me, and 2000 but nothing about XP. Can someone please tell me what drivers to use?
TIA,
Randy

If it was made in the lat two years or so, it should be OHCI compliant. Did you install it yet? What is it listed as in the Windows device manager?

I'll install it and see. Be back in 15-20 minutes.
Thanks,
Randy

Well thanks Ted. Under "IEEE 1394 bus host controllers", it lists it as "via ohci compliant bus host controller" using driver version 5.1.2535.0 reporting it to be working properly. Sound good to you Ted? I won't know until I get my camera (Canon XL-1) tomorrow, but wanted to be ready for action!
Thanks again,
Ted

Sounds good. Make sure that you have the Microsoft DV drivers and not the manufacturer's drivers, and it should be fine.

They are ,thanks again Ted. Does the capture card need to be on an unshared IRQ?

ideally, the capture card has a unique irq.
