Ok Help

Okay maybe I'm asking the wrong questions...so...I have about $600 to spend on a new camera. Standard Def is fine but I need 16:9 and flash memory would be great. Editability in VMS8 is a top priority. Please suggest some cameras. All help appreciated!

I highly suggest you get the Canon HV20, now sold for $650 to $700 online. It is still the best consumer camera on the market, and one of the most successful consumer cameras (if not the most well-sold camera) ever. And there's a reason for that: amazing quality. If you go for it, make sure you have 2 GBs of RAM and Vegas 8 Platinum Edition.

If you don't have that much money, get the new Canon FS100, it's SD and it's flash-based, up to 2:45 hours of recording time with an 8 GB SD card.

Personally, I would still go for the HV20, because of the additional controls and quality.
