Hello,

Asio is a close standart from Steinberg, Steinberg is the competence, if Asio will be a open standart, you will see the Vegas with Asio.

Bye

P.D Is like, why my Ford don't use motors from GM?, the competence.

I don't understand what you are saying.

Vegas _never_ supported ASIO drivers.

Hi,

If Steinberg (In a hypotetic future), buy Sonic Foundry, you can see Asio support.

Jaguar was made very good cards in the past with very good british engines, now Jaguar don't make a great cars, are only expensive Ford cars. Jaguar uses GM parts because are cheaper, but are a low quality parts (Your example are wrong, isn't the best).

Bye

the XJS, Xj6 and XJ 12 from at least as early as 73 on used gm tranny's and diff's. Also the hot ticket with a jaguar was always to have John's Cars of Jaguar Lane texas, install a chevy 350 in place of the hideous v-12. Car's value actually went UP.

But I digress

Maybe asio isnt the answer, but some method of input monitoring really would be a good idea. Logic and SAW used asio. How did they get away with it ? Will it cost sf too much money to do it ? If I were the borg, I wouldnt let sf use it, and finally have vegas become an issue as a competitor. Maybe thats whats going on?

Is the wdm system too goofy ?

Where do I get one of these Jaguar cards?.....are Jaguar cards better than Maudio cards and do they have ASIO drivers or is that part of a dealer option package?

Hello,

If SF goes to Asio, SF will be a toy on the hands of Steinberg, Steinberg will be change the specifications without any announcement, and unsupport thrid part applications (Like a hypotetic Vegas), this is a very good advantage for steinberg.

I prefer the development of a open code driver mode (GNU, an Asio free for all), or the development of a driver that comes with the OS, like the new WDM from Microsoft.

I agree with: Vegas need implement the WDM kernel streaming or a good metod for input monitoring, with the cards from RME (For example) you can optain 3 ms with MME drivers, Vegas need take this hardware advantages.

Regards

P.D. I love the Jaguar E type (I have a friend with one of this), but I use an all European (And cheapest) Renault ;) (Mayve the tyres are from Goodyear, damm!)

My insurance policy requires that I be the ONLY driver for my Ford Econoline and volume and tone control knobs were included on the dash.
