I want to learn masking to see what cool dvds I can come up with, nut can not find the topic anywhere], even in the DVD 2 manual. I want a pulsating arrow that points to the option and then to run a menu fade out video with the arror remaining at that point. Where can I find some of this information regarding this in DVDA?

DVDA does not support animated highlights.

There is a document on using the new features of DVDA2 which can be found at the following URL: http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/Products/DVDArchitect2NewFeatures.pdf. Check out "Creating custom highlight masks" starting on page 51.

Create your arrow in a graphics program as an animated GIF.

Make your "menu fade out" video in Vegas and either tack it on to the front of your video, also in Vegas, or put it between your menu and your video. Link the arrow button to the "in between" video and link the "in between" video to your content. If you have more than one "pulsating arrow" on the menu, you'll need to make an "in between" video for each one.
