There are several of these on the VASST site.
Visit the All Things Vegas site and click on the Veg Files link. You may need to register if you've not been in there before. Mike C, myself, Dave Hill have all created some countdowns.
Alternatively, ARTBEATS has several countdowns.

YSE but I was looking for the old numbers in circles that flicker like in old movies

Hm,
next time I transfer some film with one on it I'll keep it, don't know if they're still (or ever were) copyright. If no one thinks it'll be an issue I guess I could post them somewhere for all to use.
Also MGI VideoWave ships with a pretty authentic looking film countdown. You could probably justify buying the program just for that, my copy was free witha firewire card.

Kelly has a bunch of countdowns on his Rotating Cat Head store site.
you could use the stock one and apply film grain and flicker affects to your taste.
Plus the other ones he has are pretty cool too.

mnb, you must not have looked at the countdowns on the VASST site. There are two that fit your description EXACTLY. All you need to do is add flicker and dust with a filter.

Here's an old one, it's 320x240.
