Just create a front page news paper and use a spin transition or the new 3d plugin to rotate it and zoom in at the same time.
Hint: scan a front page of your favorite newspaper and then do some editing and search for the fonts and replace the name of the paper and headline.
Really not that difficult.

Yea the 3D plugin should do this nicely. Use scaling instead of moving in the Z direction to create the first keyframe. Then create a keyframe at the end using the box on top of the rotation angle. This is the number of turns so it’s easy to spin 360 for about 24 times and then use full scale. This should have it spinning up like the old newspapers did.

Since you've been away for awhile, I'll update you. Since the big video plug in developers have been ignoring the needs of the Vegas Video market, we all decided to kidnap this guy named Satish, lock him in a room and demand he develop plug-ins for us. Weird thing is...........I think he actually enjoys it, well he keeps demanding that they be free anyways. Go figure ;)

Here's the link:

Ahhh that 3D plugin! Thanks very much. I'm sure I'll back for help. I haven't looked at it much but I'm guessing you mean the Shattered 3D?

Have a good day!!!

Actually, the one that would work best for your effect is the 3DLE plug-in

We all owe Satish, BIG TIME! He is a very generous person and an exceptional programmer.

I love Satish's new plug-ins just as much as you, but regular old Track Motion can spin and scale a newspaper image just as well <g>. Plus, it can drop a shadow behind it.
