I have an old version of Sound Forge which works perfectly in my 32 bit versions of Vegas (10 & 11). It installed into the x86 folder on my Win 7 64 system, but Vegas Pro 12 (64) can't open it when I want to "open a copy in Sound Forge" from my timeline audio.
Since SF is an independent program, shouldn't Vegas be able to at least call it up? Yes, it works when I open SF separately and import the timeline audio, work on it and re-save it as another version, then re-open it in V12, but it's still a pita to do it that way.
I realize that actual 32 bit plug ins (aav6cc, etc) that are integrated into the Vegas FX panel won't work...but I never thought that a totally separate program like SF wouldn't.
Any ideas or am I just SOL until a 64 bit version arrives?
