On rendering to DV tape

Hello! All,

I have two questions that I hope someone here can help me with.

First, what would be the ideal settings to select when I would like to have all output for normal televsion viewing? I am ready to crank out some instructional videos for the tv market and just need some sound advice.

Secondly, I have Vegas on C system drive and setup another drive, D drive 80 gig, to save all projects on. What would be the ideal way to have things setup? Should I have Vegas on the the D drive as well as save all the projects to that drive as well? Or should I keep the same setup as listed? Moreover, I have the prerendered files folder prompt checked to the second drive D, as well as the temporary files, is this ok?

Any feedback is strongly apprecieted!

Rene

Hi Rene,

It sounds to me like you're good to go...

I keep Vegas on the system drive, and the rest on my media drive... (I backup the .veg files on CDRW).

Addendum: For TV, I suggest output to DV (if you are capturing DV).

Your hardware configuration is fine---application and saved veg files on your C-- captured video on your D. I would use the standard DVNTSC settings found in the properties menu item. The rendered output setting should be good.
