On Selling Vegas 7

Hi All!

I have searched here and also the knowledge base, but am unable to find relevant information.

I have on sold my Vegas 7, and the new owner would like to register it.

How do I (we?) go about transferring the ownership?

You call customer support and tell them you are giving up the license.
You call the person you sold it to and give them your Vegas 7 serial number.
Then the buyer calls customer support and gives them the old number. Then create a new number and issue it to the buyer.

You have to send a signed fax message intending what you want to do with your serial numbers and the "E" mail of the intended user to Sony Support.

You can transfer online now. Provide Sony with name, address and email of the person you want to transfer license too.

Go to Knowledge base and click on "Submit Question to Customer Service". Select your product and under Category select "Activate / Serial Numbers" and then under the sub category select "License Transfers"
Fill out the other fields as appropriate.

Transfer takes a few days.

It took a week when I did it. But is was simple to set in motion, and all went smoothly.
