on the limits of editing

I would like to receive some feedback on a movie I made at sunrise and evening. You can watch it here:

I filmed in both parts with my Canon, aperture preset on 'sunset'. One 'event' (or scene) was filmed with 'auto' setting (can you find it?). I've had a very hard time trying to emulate in Vegas the light and color pallet that is in the other scenes. I my opinion, it is actually impossible. But I would like to hear the opinion of this community on this matter.

Oh, yes, I know, I should have used a (better) tripod.

You can. But in order to bump particular colors while leaving other unmodified you will need the "Color Correction Secondary" plugin which can be found on the full version of Vegas, not the Movie Studio.

The best you can do with the Movie Studio version is to use the freeware Aav6cc plugin, which doesn't do exactly the same thing, but it's close enough.

If you like, export for me in 480p WMV a small portion that has both the part that doesn't look good and the part that you would like it to look like, and then I will try to work on it and offer you feedback on how to achieve that look.

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately, I have deleted the master files. As the schoolyear starts tomorrow, I'm a bit busy with more urgent - read boring - things right now. I have already installed the plugin you mentioned, but I didn't use it when I tried to work on the colours because I forgot(!). Next time, I will keep that in mind. I plan on doing the same movie in all for seasons, on the same locations. So there's plenty of opportunity to experiment.

Very nice composition. Can't wait to see the four seasons version.
I too have the Canon HV20 and along with my recent purchase of Vegas I think I'm in heaven.

Cheers
