One Last Chance

I have searched and searched until my fingers are sore. I'll try this question one last time and see what happens before moving to some different software.

I'm running Vista 64. Will Vegas Movie Studio run on my machine. Even the Sony site here says that it may or may not. It's unbelieveable that a major software manufacture will product it's latest software and is not compatable with the latest OS.

What's the bottom line? Is anyone successfully running on this platform? Any help would be appreciated for this amature. I can't afford to purchase the software and not have it work on my OS. I'm just struggling in this recent economy.

Can't answer you directly but have you downloaded the trial and try for yourself?

Yes, I did. However, I downloaded Vegas Movie Studio and apparently, it didn't come packaged with the DVD Architect. Without that, I can't try to see how it works printing to a DVD. Not a real trial, huh?

They're packaged separately (for the trial). DVD Architect Studio has a trial as well. You'll see the link on the trial page.

As for purchasing, while you can purchase DVD Architect Studio as a stand alone application, Movie Studio comes with it.

SCS should update the system requirements page to put a small note that VMS should be run on Vista 64-bit in 32-bit compatibility mode, if there are problems running it normally, as it says in the KnowledgeBase article.

I am running Vista 64bit. Vegas Movie Studio, and DVD Architect run very well. I have had no problems. I installed both programs from CD.
