One more soul begging for midi support.

I like Vegas very much, but I must use midi for my drums
and synths. Cakewalk goes out of sync (when playing only
one drum track to an outside drum machine) when I am
recording with vegas. Cakewalk does not go out of sync
with Samplitude with the same setup.

Vegas would become my program of choice if it either
supported midi or had a more stable MTC sync capability.
And also I want midi controller automation and support for
the Yamaha 01v.

Vegas has a lot of potential. No need to add a ton of
useless features, but at least it shouldn't limit a huge
population of midi users.

Thanks for the ear

PS: If anyone has suggestions on stablizing my MTC to
cakewalk setup, please let me know.

When having Vegas generate MTC or MIDIClock, make sure you have Vegas
set up to use the sound card for timing. In the Sync Advanced page
make sure "Use internal timer for MTC generation" is off.

If you are syncing CW only, you may want to use MIDIClock vs MTC.

When you are recording, are you running SRP - playback and record -
or only recording? (This has to be manually set up.)

When I have the problem, I am only recording 3 tracks simultaneously
with no other tracks playing back with sync to CW for a Midi drum
track to my external drum module. Although I haven't tried to record
while tracks are playing back yet. Could you expand on the
term "SRP" and how this has to be manually set up. Thanks, I will
try out your suggestions.
