One Neo license, two computers

Like many people here, I work with two computers: a studio PC and a laptop for work on the go. I just upgraded to Neo HDV. Am I going to have codec compatibily problems going between ConnectHD on my laptop and NeoHDV on my desktop, or does the new 7e release of Vegas (on the same day no less) now use the new Neo HDV codec as well?

I dont think you will have a problem, cineform allows you to install on two computers like Vegas as long as not using at the same time.
you reg and state its for your laptop.
I also remember David saying that all codecs were backwards compatible.
BTW how do you like Neo, am interested in the actuall usage differences between Connect HD's last release. Mainly for std HDV workflow, I use the Cineform codec rather than native HDV m2ts primarly. Smart rendering saves me time esp if Im reusing just a small portion or dividing up a longer file.

You can find the Cineform policy for using their products on multiple machines http://www.cineform.com/products/FAQ.htm#Activation2here[/link].

Personally, I'd rather not have to mess around with constantly deactivating and activating just to use a product I own on my laptop as well as my studio computer.

When I installed Vegas 7e on my laptop, I checked and the Cineform codec was still version 2.5. I installed then uninstalled Neo and now the codec is updated to the Neo one.

I have been doing a lot of work with some guys who use FCP and are seriously looking at getting the Mac version of Neo. Of course I am highly recommending this to them. My big hope is that they will switch over and at long last I will be able to freely exchange HD video files with them.
