Only 7sec will play in Vegas

I am recording video game footage onto dvd with a stand alone recorder. I then rip the dvd and edit short films in vegas. I have done this several times. However, I got a new dvd recorder that works great but when I rip the game footage and i put it in Vegas, It only shows 7sec of footage???

What in the world?

Not sure what you mean by "rip". Exactly how are you getting the footage off the DVD into Vegas MS?

Oh sorry, I just copy the VOB file to the hard drive and change it to a MPG. I have always done it this way without problems. I wonder if I finalized the disc with copy protection or something? hmm

Well, that is not the "correct" way to import a DVD. Try it the way Vegas wants to do it and see if that way works.

Go to: FILE, IMPORT, DVD camcorder disk
