only does non-real time event fx for audio?

(I am using VMS 9 Plat.) I had a small noise section and tried to apply an audio event to filter it out, but all I could find is 'non-real time event fx', which makes me render the audio (which I assume you then replace somehow that section in the project - I did not try it, so no clue).

OK, seems weird since there is audio Track FX (real time) ability. So does Vega Pro have real time events for audio? (or is this some kind of limitation overall)

With Vegas Pro, adding an audio effect to an event will render it out to a new clip. Adding it to the TRACK will let it be adjusted in real time. The typical work-around is to move that audio to a new track and adjust it as needed at the track level. Vegas Pro has unlimited tracks so you can use as many as you want..

thanks jetdv - nice idea, (hadn't thought of that), unfortunately us 'puny' people (non-pro) only get 4 audio tracks (which is really only 1 extra). So I am assuming this is how Pro users get around not having real-time audio event ability (having as many audio tracks as desired - still looks messy). (If I had Pro would I be complaining about this...?) It seems that since there is real-time video events and audio/video transitions, etc., that real-time audio events would be a natural extension. Do other prominent video editors deal with it this way?
