Open Copy in Audio Editor

Using Open Copy in Audio Editor will create a take 2 of the audio and place it alongside the original clip. Is there a way to have Vegas place it in the project folder instead of the original media location? Reason is the media location for me is a 1TB NMVe SSD which temporarily holds a local copy of the original media located on a NAS. Once I am done with a project, I wipe the SSD for the next one. If I forget to move the take 2 audios, I lose them. Having them in the project folder ensure an auto backup. My current workaround is to move the take 2 manually each time I create one.

Using VP19.

For 100% safety, you can do this in another way. After you finished your project,

1, the porject goes "SAVE AS"

2, create a new folder on the NAS for this project

3, check "Copy media with project"

This copyback let you keep all project files permanently (you can then erase the other 2 original ones).

This is not practical for me, my NAS already have a very well organized library of all my footage. Doing it the way you show would duplicate a lot of footage in my NAS. Just to give you an idea, the current project I am working on has more than 4TB of footage. I cannot afford to duplicate that.
