Open In Audio Editor" IzoRx users . .

Just read this over on the COW.

A gentleman is having an "open in audio editor" issue with M2T file. I am also getting the same "ERROR".

If you have Izotope RX and have set it up as your preferred audio editor, please check this:

1] Put an M2T file on T/L.

2] Right click on Audio part of the M2T Event and "Open Copy in . . . " - or even try "Open in . . "

What are you getting?

Just to add to this, I do NOT get this "error" in Vegas7. So it being an M2T file, with its MPEG2 audio portion, I can not see this as being an issue for VP8c, as it works with V7?

I think same person, same problem, has been raised here. Not that it really matters that much but sometimes cross posting can make things really confusing. By that I mean the original poster, not you BTW.

Ok - I tried this in 8.0c, a rendering type window opened but never got past 0%.

I then restored my PC back to before I installed 8.0c.

Opened 8.0b, and was able to Open copy of audio event in RX.

Undid Restore, re-opened 8.0c and the 0% Render window opened again, and stayed till I clicked Cancel.

I think you've found something.

It does seem to be just m2t though - I tried an MXF audio event in 8.0c, and it Opened copy in RX ok.

Thanks Peter - thanks for testing. I can not take the credit for this one, it WAS "Israel"'s.

And yes, AVIs with their wavs are fine. And "partially" works with Sound Forge!

The other thing is that it works, as you would expect, in Vegas7 - no problem.

Somebody dropped the ball . . . and as you imply it is possibly the step-up to 8c that did for it.
