Open ts files from a humax HDR

Hi

I have just purchased a Humax FOXSAT HDR which can recieve and record freesat (its great I would recommend it if looking for a Sky replacement)

The system allows for some unecrypted recordings to be transferred directly to a memeory stick and hence onto my laptop.

The file extension is .ts and the videos play just fine in smplayer but when I import the media to Vegas Movie Studio it has occassional skips and seems to have a double audio track which creates a sort of echo effect. Vegas seems to import them fine and even creates some peak files alongside the .ts.

Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do to successfully import and edit these files ?

Many Thanks in advance

I also tried creating a DVD directly in DVD architect Studio but this had the same problem.

I looked in smplayer again and it shows 2 audio tracks (both tthe same as far as I can tell) so, I guess that is why SVS imports 2 tracks.

VMS wont handle TS files. Use HDTVtoMPEG2 (free) or Videoredo to convert to a mpg file.
