And here is exactly the problem! People test stuff without knowing what they are doing. OpenCL is broken for VP with the R9 200 series, it only works up to the 7xxx series, but the R9 290 for example flies with XDCAM or any other encoder, just not MC AVC. CUDA is only supported for FERMI architecture, that means up to GTX580 and not any further or Quadro up to 4000 but not 4000K.
There must be a few hundred threads in this forum about what works and what doesn't.

OK, so I wasn't the only one thinking that while watching it... lol... he said he render to 1080p with Vegas Pro and didn't see a difference in GPU performance... Duh... which render codec did he use? Probably one that wasn't GPU accelerated or didn't support his GPU's.
That video is a waste of time and only proves that the person who made it is clueless as to how GPU acceleration works in NLE's. (Im sure he made the same error with Adobe)
