Turn off GPU.
If that fails, try rolling back to QT 7.7.1 and disable auto update.

GPU? Not quite sure what you're referring to. Not the graphics processing unit, right? Wouldn't that disable the screen from displaying images?

I suggested you turn off GPU acceleration in VEGAS, if applicable.
