Hello,

I posted this in Vegas but with no response. I thought it was a good workflow and media management timesaver, it would tie everything into the project.

Scripting is beyond me at the moment but if any scripters feel it would be of benefit and need someone to test this with......

I mix video, audio effects, stills and animations, gifs etc in my projects.

I have a large library of media files which I use.

I really like the vegas interface and particularly the option to open a copy of an audio file as a take in sound forge.

I would like to do this for external pictures, gif files etc where they would open in the program associated with that file type.

When saved it would then be available as a take over the original and you would be able to re-open in the associated program to make any changes.

Does this make sense? I like the idea of the workflow. Is there a way of doing this already - a script maybe
