Opening menu

I'm new to Architect 4.5 after easily learning Roxy and I must be suffering from a prolonged brain cramp. I simply can't get started with a title page and a button to begin my program which I edited with Vegas Pro 8. I can burn a disc which starts automatically but I want and intro page with my company. I've been trying to do this for more than ten hours over a period of several days without success. I have my project in the work space ready to go but every time I try to introduce a menu by "double clicing a menu in the Project Overview window" to make the link, it just doesn't work. There must be something obvious that I'm missing. The manual doesn't help and the VASST DVDs I received with Pro 8 and Architect don't cover it. HELP!

You might want to refer to this thread for some help. Inside, you'll find some good advice and links to a tutorial or two...

(Edit) You're using DVD-A 4.5 -- why not update to 5.0a, which is the latest version? It's a free download for registered users and has some improvements/bug fixes.

Thanks to cbrillow for your quick response. I'll do both later this evening and keep my fingers crossed.

Click File / New

You then have several options - choose Menu Based and DVDA will create the opening menu with a provisional Text title.

You can change the background to whatever you want, change the Text content, font, colour, size, position, add more text.

To add a video button drag a video file from Explorer onto the menu background. You can change size, position, frame shown, type of highlight etc. You can right click and create scene selection menu if you have markers at chapter start points. You can add these either in Vegas before rendering, or in DVDA now.

There's a lot more options, but hope that helps a bit - feel free to ask any more questions.
