Opening Multiple Projects

I may have out smarted myself! I created multiple projects (.veg files) to better manage the editing process of the family vacation. My thought was when I was finished editing the individual chapters (projects) of the story, I'd be able to bring them into one master project "heel to toe" so to speak for final tweeks. Now I'm not sure my plan will work as everytime I attempt to open the second .veg file, I lose the first .veg file I opened. Is it possible to open multiple projects into one timeline?

you can (drop/drag to the timeline) but it's slower then if you render out the finished part to a DV AVI & use that.

You can 'nest' veg files.
Just drag to the timeline....

Thanks Happy Friar & Tom, but once I drag the second "veg" into the time line it renders that particular veg file and its individual clips non-editable. I was hoping once I had all the veg files in one project I could go back in and individually re-edit the clips where necessary.

Why not open Vegas (#1) and the first veg file; open a second instance of Vegas (#2) and open the next veg file in #2. Copy the time line in #2 and paste it onto the end of the time line in #1. Repeat as necessary.

But you can. Right-click the desired veg file and select "Edit in Vegas (*.veg)".
This opens up a new instance of Vegas which allows further editing.
Once saved and closed, the 'master" veg is automatically updated to reflect the changes.
