Opening Sound Forge from VMSP 9b.

I use Sound Forge 8 as the default VMSP 9b audio editor and lately when I open audio clips from 9b I only get a Sony message extolling me to by their Mpeg converter or something.

The 2 options with it are buy and close. You'd think if I hit close SF would open up but no. SF seems to open from 'open a copy' but that's ify too. Anyone see this and have a cure? Thanks.

Does Sound Forge open normally from it's own icon? If so, VMS may not know that your plugin is registered. Contact Customer Service and they should be able to provide you with a key code or something.

Try going to...
Options>Preferences>audio tab

Then browse to the Audio Studio .exe file under "preferred audio editor".

Does that fix work?

Hi guys.
Yes SF8 opened from its own icon, is registered and was the preferred audio editor. But I figured it was time to upgrade to SF9 and SF9e works fine. Thanks for your help. Cheers.
