Hi folks, I'm running a Delta 1010 with Vegas 2.0d and have had no problems - have even optimized my buffer for glitch free playback. BUT:
When playing back more than 9 tracks (24 bit 96khz), I get playback for about 1 second and then Vegas locks up and I get a Vegas Error message to the effect that "can't play audio, operation timed out." I'm running a Pentium III 1 Gig Chip, with 256 Meg of RAM, and I have a seperate 7200 rpm Hardrive just for Audio files. What's the problem? Is it the file size - do i need to resample at 48khz? Or is this a limitation of Windows 98SE? I need to be able to play more files or what's the point????? Also on poinnt, how much better performance could I expect from adding a SCSI drive? Is it worth the $$$?
