I am using DVD Architect 2.0. I've never had an issue with this program on my older Dell, but several months ago I got a new Inspiron 530 and I get a "The current operation has timed out." error on every attempt to burn a project.
It looks as if the entire project prepares and burns fine, but the timer just reaches 0:00 and then it will sit there for several minutes before giving me this error.
I've got screen prints of what I'm seeing but I'm not sure how/if I can place them in this thread. Here is what the details of the error says.
'SFMMCX'-[17]
'atapi'-[1]
-'PBDS DVD+-RW DH-16W1S 2D14'-[0]
Module mmc.cpp Line 1261
Status: 00000000
Command:
Sense:00 00 00
Info: 00 00 00 00
Specific: 00 00 00
I've had a hard time finding out what kind of burner this computer has, the invoice lists it as a 16XDVD +/-RW DRIVE, BLK,DIM,M and is listed as item number 313-5270.
I've experienced the same issue with this drive when burning a CD using Sony Sound Forge 7.0, but when I tried that tonight just burning one test song it did work though it had a very long lag after it showed the time at 0:00 before it stated it was complete.
I've used this drive with another DVD burning program and CD burning program successfully, but the Sony products are vastly superior to the ones that work and I'd really prefer to figure out how to fix this so I can use them.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
