I videotaped a school play using a Canon XL-1s (SD) It is timed at 1:40:00. I want to render it for Blu Ray using the best settings I can. What brings out the best?
I currently use 1440X1080-24p, 25Mbps video stream. That uses just 70% of the disc
I recommend you load the file into Vegas, edit it and then output a BluRay optimized file from Vegas for use as your source file in DVD Architect.
Don't use the video directly from the camcorder.
BTW, the Canon SL1 shoots in standard video. There's no value at all in creating a BluRay from it. You'll just get a blurry BluRay, since you'll be blowing the pixels to over four times their resolution!
You'll get much better results creating a DVD and then letting your BluRay player and TV upscale it.
