Ordering 3.0

Tried to order VV 3.0 this morning. Figured I'd download it. Discovered that some content needed to be sent on a CD (too large to download . . . really???). Anyhow, shipping that free CD was going to cost me almost $15.00, so, I figured, what the hey, I may as well order the shipped version of the upgrade . . . so what if I have to wait a day or two.

Well, the full version, shipped UPS ground will have a freight charge or almost $48.00 tacked onto the cost of the product.

That's ridiculous. I ship stuff everyday. The cost is outlandish for this package.

SF, can you help me here?

Thanks in advance.

This will only happen if you select a country other than the United States for shipping. Call us at 1-800-577-6642 and we can place the order for you.

I ordered mine yesterday. Got the download and had them send me the extra content cd in the mail. It only cost me $5.00 in the states.

Is the "Extra Content CD" the same one that came with Video Factory (That I already have 2 of and don't want to pay for for a third time!)???

I made this mistake when I ordered VF ($14.00) for shipping. When I upgraded, I looked carefully and the default shipping method was overnight (or 2 day). Change it to surface and the cost drops to $5.00!

I ordered it the day it was released and haven't even seen the extra CD and I live less than 200 miles from SF.

Are the CD's shipping? I'm kind of interested in seeing the content that is supposed to be on them.

If it's like the VV2 CD, it contains a bunch of training and tutorial materials. The tutorials were kind of helpful, but if you have the VV2 CD, they might not be much different.

same here. no sign of the CD yet.

Doesn't matter. I ordered (downloaded) VV3 the day it was release and still haven't seen the CD I paid to have shipped.

I wonder how they shipped it?

My guess is that they released a little earlier than they planned and the CD wasn't back from production.

When I phoned in my order the day after I got a email notifical VV3 was available I was told that it would be at least 12/15 before they start shipping. Now finding out the "packaged" version contains no manual, I'm plenty steamed! The demo is useless if you want to import or export to MPEG.
