Organizing audio events on a track - VA2.0h

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a long .wav file from multiple smaller ones. I can select a group of files in explorer, then drop them onto trackview, and all line up very nicely, no space between. Ctrl-M to mix to new, and viola one wav file from many. What I haven't figured out is when I want to change the order. I can easily move the events back and forth in track view, but how can I re-establish continuity between events?

Regards,
Rick Z

Make sure the "Ripple edits" toolbar button is enabled.

Double-click on the event you want to extract (this create a selection area for the event)

Ctrl+x deletes that event (and copies it to the clipboard) and ripples all subsequent events back.

Move the cursor to where you want the clipboard event to be placed...and ctrl+v will paste that event and push all subsequent events downstream.

You can navigate to event edges with ctrl+alt+arrow key (left or right). This is a nice, fast, accurate way to move the cursor to exact event edges.
